Explain with AI

Kubit is excited to launch it's new Explain with AI feature, designed to aid in the investigation and insight generation from reports you build in Kubit!

Each report will allow you to Explain with AI using our new icon in the right hand panel. You will find it under the current Dictionary icon. Once a report is executed you can configure what response you want to generate with our AI and text will appear explaining those insights.

You're able to copy the text generated and add it to whatever document you'd like, or add it to the Report to preserve the context. A Report with an Explain Summary will also be visible when added to a Dashboard.

How to use Explain with AI

Here is a quick walkthrough on how to leverage our Explain with AI feature:

Build and Execute your report in Kubit
Once it's completed click the ✨ icon in the right hand panel to open Explain with AI
Select the information you want to receive in the response with our toggles
Click Start at the bottom of the panel
Review your results!

How to Interpret Errors

It's not uncommon for our Explain with AI feature to respond with an error like the one shown below.

This occurs when traffic to OpenAI is high or OpenAI is experiencing an issue. If you encounter this error please click 'Retry' to try again, or check OpenAI's status for any ongoing issues.

Implementation Process

Kubit Lumos is available to all customers using our Enterprise and Growth platforms. Depending on how you're organization is implemented will determine how to implement Lumos.

Data Share Implementation

If your Kubit organization is leveraging Data Share as the method to access data Lumos will be implemented already, using Kubit's OpenAI account.
Each account is separate for every customer and your Kubit organization will have it's own OpenAI assistant.
You also have the option to connect Lumos to your own Open AI account via an API and Project Key.

Direct Connect Implementation

If your Kubit organization is leveraging Direct Connect as the method to access data Lumos must first be implemented using an Open AI account owned by your company.
You will input the Open AI Assistant API and model within our Admin Settings > Settings > AI Settings
- Input the Open AI Assistant API key and connect to your preferred model.

You can find the feature integrated within Kubit's reports. Simply select the "Explain with AI" option to receive an automated analysis of your data.

What kind of insights does "Explain with AI" provide?

Executive Summary: A high-level overview of key trends and data fluctuations.

Currently, the feature operates on a one-off basis per query and does not retain previous interactions. However, future updates may introduce persistent conversation threads for deeper analysis over time.
