Slack Enabled Commenting
Users are able to mention any other Kubit user, but the mentioned user will only receive notifications if their Slack integration is set up. If the sending user's Slack integration isn't set up, the receiving user will still get a notification, but it will not say who it is from in the Slack message. To set up the integration, read our Integrate Kubit with Slack guide. Once the integration is set up, two new options open up.
Set up a Slack Channel for Comment Updates
- Be a Dashboard Manager.
- Click the
Gear Icon
in the top right of the comment sidebar. - Select a channel.
- Any time someone comments, the updates will be sent to the specified Slack channel.
Mention other Users
- Create a comment.
- Use the @ icon to select a user to mention.
- Your message will be sent to their Slack.
When a user is mentioned once in a thread they will continue to receive updates about the thread, even if not mentioned again.
