Integrate Kubit with Slack

With Kubit's app for Slack, you can seamlessly integrate notifications and alerts into your workflow:

Receive alerts from Scheduled Refreshes for Reports and Dashboards.
Automatically unfurl charts and dashboards after a Scheduled Refresh completes.
Connect Kubit to specific Slack channels to receive notifications whenever your Scheduled Refresh completes.

This feature is available to all Kubit users.

Connect Kubit to Slack

Follow these steps to connect Kubit to your Slack workspace:

Navigate to Settings (:gear:) from the side navigation and click Preferences

Click the Connect to Slack button under Slack Integration.
In the Slack connection screen, select the workspace you want to connect to Kubit using the dropdown in the upper right corner. Click Allow to enable the integration.

Once you've allowed Kubit's app for Slack within your Slack workspace, you will be redirected to your Personal Settings page. You should now see an option to Disconnect from Slack, indicating a successful connection.

Note: Approval from the Slack workspace owner may be required to make the initial connection with Kubit's app for Slack.

If your Slack workspace owner has disabled settings that allow members to enable applications, contact them to manage app approval.

To disconnect your Kubit integration with Slack, click the Disconnect from Slack button.

Once Kubit and Slack are connected, you can select Slack channels to receive notifications when Scheduled Refreshes complete.

To connect a scheduled refresh to Slack and begin receiving notifications:

When creating a Scheduled Refresh, fill in all necessary information like the schedule name, refresh frequency, and execution time. Below this, select the option to send alerts to Slack.

Warning: If you do not see a dropdown list, first connect Kubit to Slack by clicking Connect Slack to enable notifications.

Select the Slack channel for notifications. You can type the channel name to filter the list. Only one channel can be selected.
Choose when you want to be notified. Learn more about notification options in this article.
Click Create! The next time your scheduled refresh executes, you will receive a notification in the selected Slack channel based on your notification preferences.
