Five Things to Know About Kubit

Welcome to Kubit! With Kubit, you can leverage data within your company's cloud data warehouse to investigate product use cases.

1. Kubit uses your data without ETL or data movement by running queries directly on your cloud data warehouse ☁️

This means all product/event data you have access to within Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, etc., is available in Kubit for easy querying.

If you need more data added or have questions about the data you see, please start a chat with your Kubit team using the chat icon in the lower right corner.

2. Kubit offers several charts "out-of-the-box" for common product analytics use cases 📈

  • Query: Ask questions like "How many users did an event?" or "What percentage of paying users do this event?"
  • Funnel: Ask questions like "What is my conversion rate for users who log in to purchase?" or "Where are users dropping off in my 4-step signup flow?"
  • Path: Ask questions like "What are the most common paths for users who go from starting a session to watching a video?" or "What are the differences in paths between Android and iOS users?"
  • Retention: Ask questions like "What percentage of new users return after their first 7 days?" or "How does my churn look between registered and non-registered users?"
  • Data Table: Ask questions like "What is the crosstab representation of users who started and canceled streaming, by content type?" or "What are the counts of events at the intersections of searching for content, doing a main landing event, broken down by app type?"
  • Significance: Ask questions like "Is there a statistically significant difference between iOS and Android users who completed a stream?" or "Is there a statistically significant difference between users who did a main landing event on a Monday versus a Friday?"
  • Cohorts: Build reusable cohorts to leverage in all of Kubit's charts for granular analysis. Cohorts can look like "All users who watched at least five ads in the last 10 days" or "All users who dropped off at step 4 of a funnel."

3. Save interesting findings on a Dashboard or Scratchpad for collaboration and sharing! 👀

  • Dashboards: Organize your charts and schedule them to be sent to relevant stakeholders. Connect your Dashboards to Slack to receive alerts when they are refreshed.
  • Scratchpads: Designed as a "whiteboard" area for your charts. Collaborate with your team instantly by creating a Scratchpad.

4. Save and reuse almost anything in Kubit! ♻️

  • Save and reuse Measures, Filters, Cohorts, and Virtual Events. Recreate defined business metrics or definitions in Kubit and save them using the three-dot symbol next to most objects.

5. Explore freely—you can't break anything! 👍🏼

  • Analytics is built by seeing the best examples from others and repurposing them for your use case. Click "Show in Formula" to see other charts and tweak them for yourself. The original chart remains safe.
