Track KPIs
Data beats opinion
Introduction
KPI (Key Performance Indicator) feature of Kubit is designed to help increase the ratio of fact to speculation. Any Query or Funnel can be promoted to be a KPI. Besides getting listed on the KPI tab, every KPI also supports Anomaly Detection and the Automated Diagnostics feature.
- Anomalies are highlighted by a red dot on the chart.
- Use
Diagnose
button to automatically slice-and-dice the chart using a pre-defined list of Breakdown fields.

Note
If you have already added a Breakdown to your Query or Funnel you will not be able to create a KPI from it, as that would conflict with the Diagnostics feature.
KPI Diagnostics
For any KPI, the Diagnose
action automatically runs dozens of queries to slice-and-dice the KPI with all known dimensions and calls out the anomalies automatically. This reduces the labor intensive effort required for repetitively checking on different reports, it also guarantees coverage during investigation.
The diagnosis is presented as an evidence pool for users to review and find insights.

How To
Create a KPI
Once you have successfully executed a Query or Funnel analysis, you can open the Context menu of the produced chart and click on Create a New KPI...

Delete a KPI
To delete a KPI you need to:
- navigate to it in the KPI page
- open the Context menu of the chart
- click
Delete KPI

Rename a KPI
Renaming a KPI is the same as renaming any Chart in Kubit. You need to:
- navigate to the KPI on the KPI page
- either modify the chart name inline or from the Context menu by selecting
Edit Chart Info...
Reminder
Don't forget to hit
Enter
when you're done editing the KPI name inline to save your changes!

Change the KPI Breakdown Fields in Diagnostics
The KPI Breakdown fields are a fixed list which is part of the customer environment configuration. If you need changes to your list please contact the Kubit team to configure them.
Warning
Note that whenever a change is made to the Breakdown Fields list existing KPIs remain unchanged and the new list is applied only for newly created KPIs. This means that you might need to re-create some of your existing KPIs if you want the changed list to be applied to them.
