  • Changes to Alias in Funnel - you can now rename Steps and Breakdown Groups without the need to re-execute the Funnel.
  • Added the ability to include Overall result group for Funnels with a Breakdown.

Changes to Alias in Funnel

Until this release Aliases could be assigned to steps only as part of the Funnel input. We've noticed that for a lot of people it is more natural to define the analysis and then give names to the Steps and Breakdown Groups after they've seen the Funnel results. Thus, we made the changes to allow this aliasing without the need to re-execute the analysis. You simply need to hover over the step selector or the Breakdown Group for the context menu to appear and rename like this:

  • Alias rename is available through a context menu that appears on hover and hold for active Steps and Breakdown Groups. If you have disabled a Step or a Group the context menu will not appear on hover, regardless of how much time you spend holding your cursor on top of it.
  • If you are working on a Funnel and are executing it multiple times the Aliases are preserved between Funnel executions.
  • The Reset button on the top right of the Funnel screen also resets all Aliases.
  • You don't need to save the chart settings to save the Aliases, they are saved automatically.
  • You can reset a single Alias through the context menu which is available after hovering and holding over an active Step or Group, clicking Rename ... and then using the Reset button as shown below.

Overall in Funnel

Overall toggle is now available for Funnels which have a specified Breakdown (turned off by default). You can switch the toggle on to display the cumulative count for all Breakdown Groups as a separate group. Also, you can now select multiple Breakdown Groups which allows you to compare the conversion rates side by side against each other or against the Overall, here's how it looks:

Chart Colours

  1. When only one Group is selected, the bars are coloured using the Step colours.
  2. When multiple Groups are selected, each Group Funnel is displayed in the colour of the Group.
