🔐 MCP Client Identification

The "Authorize Client" page couldn't reliably identify which AI client was connecting, showing only redirect URLs. Now users see friendly names for known providers like Claude and Cursor during authorization, making the connection process clearer and more trustworthy.

What You Can Do Now

  • See clear, recognizable names when authorizing AI clients (e.g., "Claude", "Cursor")
  • Verify you're connecting to the intended AI assistant
  • Complete authorization with confidence about which client is being granted access

How It Works

Kubit's MCP authorization flow now includes a client identification layer that recognizes known AI providers and displays their branded names instead of raw redirect URLs. This provides immediate visual confirmation of the connecting application.

What Impact Does This Have

  • Increased trust and security confidence during the authorization process
  • Reduced confusion about which AI client is requesting access
  • Better user experience for MCP onboarding
